She Was A Mother,Too features an underlayer of collaged papers I collected during a trip to Israel. If you look closely, you'll spot a plane ticket, sheet music, and prayers in Hebrew. Stenciled over this are the letters "MP OV," which in Greek represent Mary, the Mother of God, but also reflect "my point of view" in our language.
The colors are rich and jewel-like. Jesus is depicted as a young boy holding a scroll, symbolizing both that he learned the Word and that he himself was the Word made flesh, dwelling among us.
